the misconception of one nation under god
If you believe we are living in One Nation Under God you are deceived. We are a divided nation on one land surface. We are two nations existing in a world that presently lies in the power of the evil one (I John 5:19). The truth is we are seeing I John and other passages (Jn. 8:39-47:12:31; 14:30; 16:1) coming to us in living color. The world we live in is ruled by Satan and it is manifested in our divided nation. Does that surprise you?
The world Satan rules allows and encourages every man to do what is right in his own eyes just as in the days of the Judges (21:25) . The world Satan rules encourages a government to reward evil and punish good, a direct violation of Romans 13:1-7. Satan has always been behind governments prostituting their God given design (Pr. 16:12; Is. 14:2; Ez. 28:11) to propagate the lies and deception of the evil one. Satan’s world exalts homosexuality and turns a blind eye to the perversion of the created differences between men and women (Romans 1:26-27). Satan’s world makes it a crime to speak truth and instead one must give approval to the dishonorable passions (Romans 1:32) of the children of the devil (John 8:44). Satan’s world approves of the slaughter of babies in the womb and believes in the censorship of those who stand for life and truth. Satan’s world does not believe in justice, but in injustice. Satan’s world divides the church over the vaccinated and unvaccinated, the masked and the unmasked. Satan’s world, Satan’s followers, the antichrists deny that Jesus is the Christ and they deny the Father and the Son (I Jn. 2:22) and they deny that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to the Father (Jn. 14:6; 2 Cor. 4:4).
So, does this surprise you? If you are a follower of Jesus Christ you should not be surprised or even expect anything different. I admit I have been surprised because I lost sight of the biblical and theological truth that this world is ruled by Satan, the father of lies (John 8:44).
How do you live in a nation under the rule of Satan? First, for me I need to re-energize my study of the Scriptures, rightly handling the word of truth (II Tim. 2:15) in order to keep a biblical perspective of current events. Second, I need to resist the current emphasis to live in fear and to be courageous. This means to be willing to speak truth, to be willing to disrupt the world of Satan’s followers, to be willing to offend. Honestly if I’m not offensive at times, I have probably removed the truth and the gospel from my conversations (I Peter 3:15-17). Third, I need to keep my focus on heaven (Col. 3:1-4) realizing my citizenship is not on this earth (Phil. 3:20). Finally that there is a time to faithfully, humbly disobey a government that has forfeited it’s God given authority to rule.
