ANGELOGY-the study of both holy and fallen angels including Satan.

ANGELS

I believe angels are created beings of higher order than man, yet not to be worshipped. As created beings they are designed to serve God (Hebrews 1:5-7).

Holy Angels

  • All angels are created, therefore are not to be worshipped (Hebrews 1:6-7; 2:6-7).

  • Angels are created to serve and worship God (Revelations 5:11-14).

Fallen Angels

  • Satan is a created angel who has fallen and is the author of sin (Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19).

  • When Satan fell, he took many angels with him (Matthew 25:41; Rev. 12:1-14).

  • Satan introduced sin into the human race at the temptation of Eve (Gen. 3:1-5).

  • Satan is the enemy of God and man (Isaiah 14:13-14; Matt. 4:1-11; Rev. 12:9-10).

  • At the present time, Satan is the prince of the world (John 12:31; 8:44).

  • Satan, was defeated through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Rom.6:20).

  • Satan and all fallen angels will be eternally punished in the lake of fire (Isa. 14:12-17; Ezek. 28:11-19; Matt. 25:41; Rev. 20:10).
