BIBLIOLOGY -is the study of the nature, character, and authority of the Bible.

I believe the Scriptures (Bible) is God’s revelation and every word in the original text is God’s inspired word given by the Holy Spirt to man (I Cor. 2:7-14; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

God spoke in propositional, objectived truth.

  • Every word is verbally inspired, inerrant, infallible, and God breathed (2 Timothy 3:16; I Cor. 2:13; I Thess. 2:13).

  • The scriptures are a literal, grammatical-historical record, and there Genesis teaches a literal 6 day creation (Gen. 1:31; Ex. 31:17).

  • Scripture is without error and therefore is the only rule of faith and practice (Matt. 5:18; 24:35; John 10:35; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Heb. 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

God spoke through the holy spirit

  • The Holy Spirit superintended the human authors, using their personalities and different styles of writing to record God’s spoken work to man without error (2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Tim. 3:16).

  • The Scriptures were written by many authors over hundreds of years with several applications, BUT ONLY ONE true interpretation (John 7:17; 16:12-15; I Cor. 2:7-15; I John 2:20).
